Part of the “1000 Years of Knowledge Rediscovered” exhibition in the Ibn Battuta Mall are compelling, interactive installations where visitors learn about Islamic discoveries and inventions which helped revolutionise science & technology. These include a working Pinhole camera and functioning ancient astronomy tools, such as an astrolabe, quadrant and celestial globe. as well as other interactive medical, engineering, scientific and historical exhibits.

A travelling exhibition of some of these fantastic exhibits has been reproduced on a smaller scale, to be available to Museums and Science Centres world-wide.
